• Apple has won a patent for inductive charging dock which introduces a new method of charging the device without wires.

• iPhone 5, will be Apple’s first smartphone to ship a 4G LTE chip.

• Iphone 5 will be a world phone so that users can have any carrier network on it. This is possible by building 2-3 antennas having the capabilities of GSM and CDMA technology.

• The iPhone device also gives users an extended battery life and a standby of 1000 hours.

 Camera on the iPhone

 Apple indicates interchangeable lens system for iphone photographers in a new patent for its camera. Now the iPhone will resemble a DSLR camera. For the first time, for an iPhone, the camera will include a digital imaging subsystem and an optical-axis lens covered by a removable back panel.

Users will able to open the back panel without disrupting the digital imaging subsystem to change the lens or take black and white photos at low light levels. Apple recently filed several patent applications in order to bring 3D picture capturing to the iPhone 5. This phone will be capable of rendering, capturing and processing 3D images, which coincides with the recent changes to the dual-camera hardware. It is also rumored that the new iPhone 5 will also be able to take pictures in Panorama.

Apple company also announced that Siri can now understand Mandarin and Cantonese.

 On the iPhone 5, Apple Maps will replace Google Maps with features like visual and spoken navigations, real-time traffic updates and easy to follow step-by-step directions.
