Apple expands iOS 6 3D Maps coverage to new cities - England and other
Apple has just expanded the iOS 6 3D Maps coverage to some special cities in the U.S., England, Canada and France. According to a report from 9TM, it shows that Apple Inc. has released the iOS 6 beta 4 which has notably drops Google backed YouTube application with some tweaks. The new iOS 6 3D Maps application is among some of the high ends features of the upcoming iPhone, iPad and iPod torch operating system, and we have took time to gather the news about the app’s newly supported 3G regions.
Apple has added some incredible 3D views for some new cities in the US and some abroad. Here below are the 3D cities view they’ve found.
United States: Atlanta, Boston, Phoenix, Portland, Philadelphia, Houston, New Orleans, Dallas.
Europe: France; Birmingham, Lyon, England; Manchester, England.
Some previous iOS 6 beta releases which includes the first edition beta 1 that came in mid-June includes some major cities like: Los Angeles, Memphis, San Diego, Miami, Denver, Melbourne, Las Vegas, Montreal, Copenhagen, San Francisco and the Bay Area, Sydney, Chicago, Seattle, and Sacramento. Apple’s iOS 6 3D mapping technology was said to have been inherited from the company’s 2011 acquisition of a company known as C3 Technologies. C3 Technologies also has produced a 3D data for cities such as London, Milan, Barcelona, Toronto, Venice, Prague, Oslo, and Vienna and hopefully they would add more cities soon.
